There is NO DIFFERENCE | SCAM ALERT | Epson v550 vs Epson v600 film scanner comparison video
This was an interesting research project for finding the difference between The Epson v550 vs The Epson v600. When I first made the ‘upgrade’ I thought that I noticed a slight difference in the overall sharpness of the scans but now that I have them side by side, there really is not much of a difference. Let me know in the comments if you think you can see a difference other than the color shift. What I personally think you should do if you were thinking about picking up an Epson scanner is get the V700 if you want to make contact sheets and have the luxury of scanning in bulk. If you are just getting into scanning, buy the V550 on Ebay and don’t sweat the risk of it being damaged, or the Epson V600 if you want to pick it up locally without waiting for Ebay seller ship time. Also here’s a question for anyone interested in film photography and who scans their own film, is Negative Lab Pro worth the investment? I used the trial for NLP and it was easy to bulk edit and maybe a tad faster but every photo is different and should be edited differently. Are their potentially added features that will be worth the investment? Anyway, thanks for watching and I hope you learned something.
