Slipstreaming Dell Drivers into the Dell Windows XP Reinstallation DVD using nLite

This video looks at slipstreaming the Dell Driver Cab into the Dell Windows XP Pro Reinstallation CD and burning a new DVD for an OptiPlex 790 or 7010 which are the last supported Dells to run Windows XP. The slipstream of drivers into the installation media gives a more seamless clean install and overcomes in particular error 0x000007B which commonly occurred due to the lack of storage controllers in XP Installation Media. This video also demonstrates slipstream of Service Pack 3 and Windows Media Player 11. My installation media already had IE8 (so I haven’t tested that and not sure if it still needs a cab file, (nLites been updated since I last used it). Unfortunately slipstream of the Unofficial Service Pack 4 breaks Dell OEM SLP activation. This can however be installed afterwards without any issues.
