Learn how to pre-configure the HP Universal Print Driver (UPD) using the HP Driver Configuration Utility (DCU) on a PC using Windows 7 32-bit operation system.

The DCU is an application used to edit the configuration file associated with a particular driver in order to change driver settings before installation.

A configuration file, which is part of the printer driver, maintains a set of default settings for the device once they are installed, the settings include; paper type, paper size, duplex settings, color options, and more.
